    Last winter I was due to re-elasticate 4 of my F1 top kits with my usual choice of white hydro elastic but the cost of that stuff is extortionate. After looking around at alternatives I decided to try Nick’s Aque Flow in 2.1mm which seemed similar to white hydro.
    I was a little concerned that being much cheaper than white hydro it wouldn’t be anywhere as good. After 6 months use I can confirm my fears were totally unfounded.
    It is soft enough to hook F1’s from 8oz to 4lb when fishing shallow on both jigger’s and over shotted rigs. They just glide out of the baited area without any commotion leaving the rest of the shoal to continue feeding happily.
    I’ve even landed carp to 10lbs on it, this was at Weston Pools and we all know how hard these fish fight. At no time did I ever feel I was out of control, I just took my time and it was safely netted.
    When it comes to replacing my grey and red hydro I will definitely be buying Nick’s Aqua Flow and saving a fortune without any downsides.
